I had a delicious and tasty breakfast with homemade bread and fresh fruit in the lounge area.

Lovely old place to visit 4 km away from a family theme park. The rooms airy, new-fashioned with a beautiful view across the valley, crisp linen plus thoughtful touches. Central location, a 5-minute walk from a train station. Found in a very nice area.

Charming decor enhanced our stay, but the hill was too steep for us.

The hospitality was top-notch, with a lovely breakfast spread and a cozy room that felt like home. I really enjoyed unwinding in the serene garden area and the comfy lounge. The only downside was how quickly our time flew by—I'm already planning my next visit! 😊

Excellent dining options were provided, including delicious organic fruits, made breakfast a highlight. The spacious room was a true retreat, furnished comfortably and equipped with quality amenities. The basement room, while quiet, lacked a view and felt a bit cool during the night. The separation from the main house could be an issue for those seeking a more social atmosphere.

Luxurious room, excellent breakfast, the breakfast served was excellent and the room offered a tv and electric kettle for a convenient stay.

The room was a dream with its good décor and super comfy bed! I loved the delicious homemade breakfast, especially the eggs Benedict that hit all the right spots. Ziz, our host, was fabulous, sharing insider tips and providing discount vouchers to nearby attractions-what a nice touch!

We enjoyed our stay, especially the homemade cakes at 4:30 and the short stroll to the Peak District Lead Mining Museum, making it easy for us to explore this beautiful area with our family.

The room was super comfy with a HUGE bed and beautiful decor. I loved the warm vibe and the quality linens. Multiple windows provided a lovely view of the garden too. Everything felt well thought out with lovely touches like the 'forgotten items' box. Perfect for snuggling up after a long day out!

Just had a nice 2-night stay. The host was super friendly and knew all the best spots to check out. Our room was spacious and had a comfy bed. The breakfast was delish, especially their special diet options! One thing though, Matlock is kinda hilly so be ready for that.
